Today marks the one year anniversary of Lady Gaga’s second studio album Born This Way! Upon its release on May 23rd, 2011, the album rose to #1 on the iTunes album charts in a matter of an hour! It also debuted on the Billboard 200 at #1 with 1,100,000 copies sold! It stayed at #1 for the following week as well! Sales as of today amount to 8,000,000 worldwide and over 2,000,000 in the U.S.

The album also spawned some very successful singles! It housed the #1 hit “Born This Way,” which stayed at the top position for six weeks straight! It also spawned the Summer hit and top 5 single “The Edge Of Glory,” “Yoü And I,” “Judas,” and “Marry The Night.” The single “Born This Way” is also one of the most successful songs of all time, with downloads around 8,200,000!
